CHEESE... CLIck... cliCK

Did you know? I love photography! So what's special in that? Nothing. I just wanted to tell you something and I didn't have any topic! Then I could have taken any random topic. Why photography? May be because it's my next favorite hobby after singing. Yeah, that would be right.

I remember the instance in the movie when Aamir tells Preity that the first thing he had told once he started speaking was 'Camera'. I think by then I had that interest in cameras and photography. I felt the same feeling when I watched Wake up Sid and even have taken photos of my immediate surrounding when I was watching the movie in my pc!

I had a very delicate attachment to clicking photos until then. Once, I remember when i was in class 4th, i think, I was handling my cousin's camera. We had gone on a trip to shivanasamudra and had got wonderful snaps. The next day in a function I thought why shouldn't I check how a camera is from the inside. For the next one hour or so I was the target for everyone's aggression! All those who have opened a camera with a reel full of photos in it, I hope will know how it would be! My mom, in particular had told me that she would never hand me a camera again. I was sad then. But I think I had learnt a really very important lesson - never should you think of opening a camera. I didn't know what the reel would become under sunlight. Only later did I know what that would result in.

After some years we bought an automatic camera for ourselves and I tried to become the official photographer of the family, which, unfortunately to me, my sister too aimed for! But after using it for 5 complete reels it started giving trouble. Then came the Nikon digital camera. Before one and a half year when i had to go to Japan for the interaction tour, my dad gave me COOLPIX 11 camera so that I could get some snaps from Japan.

Though I had seen digicams and handicams by then, I experienced a very different feeling by having one in my hands. I was as careful as possible with it. But yes it has fallen out of my firm grips many times. Maybe because the grip was too firm and so I might have lost control! Initially I used to take pics of friends, relatives, house, structures etc. But now I have started losing interest in getting pics of friends and relatives, though not from interesting structures. Now I think myself going for snaps of age old mountains, dusty roads, stormy sea or some about-to-fall-buildings. But other than dusty roads, you can't find other things easily in Mangalore!

In my family, other than me, my father and my sister too have the same attractions to photography. My sister goes behind family photography while my father is behind general things like some silly stuff that develops curiosity(!), gardens, stage events of some cultural activities. He seldom takes pictures of family and friends. After buying a cell with camera in it, my sister has stopped running behind the camera. But my dad and me have rows regarding who will be having the camera! Currently its with him.

Nowadays i have started irritating my mother to get me a DSLR. She has told 'Let me see. Not now, later.' I don't know when that later will come! Currently I have no plans as to what I'll do with it. But I have a feeling that once it is in my hands I can change the world(just to speak)...!!!

There is a photography club in our College but I have never thought about asking someone as to how to join it, even though I have thought of joining. So if anyone from my coll reads this and knows the golden path of enlightenment, please do show me.
